Hon. Margaret Naana Ackom, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Gomoa East, has paid a working visit to four thriving industries within the district—Focus Tech Company, Rikpat Company Ltd., Gold Coast Foods, and Ndede Company Ltd.—as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the Assembly and the private sector.
The visit formed part of the DCE’s commitment to familiarizing herself with the operations and products of local industries, engaging management on their successes and challenges, and exploring practical ways the Assembly can support their growth. During the interactions, Hon. Ackom commended the companies for their resilience, innovation, and contribution to employment creation and local economic development.
She also officially invited the companies to participate in an upcoming Gomoa East Trade and Investment Expo, which is aimed at showcasing locally manufactured products to residents of the district and a wider audience, while attracting potential investors and business partners.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Ackom expressed her enthusiasm about the upcoming event, stating, “We are excited to highlight the amazing products from these local industries and create opportunities for them to access new markets and investment. This expo will serve as a platform to connect producers, consumers, and investors for mutual benefit.”
The expo is expected to promote local enterprise, encourage value addition, and position Gomoa East as a hub for industrial growth and investment. It also aligns with the Assembly’s broader vision of boosting economic activity, creating jobs, and improving livelihoods across the district.
